I Have a windows 7 PC and want to save my iMessages. Can anyone tell me how to do this either from my ipad to my PC or send them to myself in an email. The only app I have found won't work with a backup on windows.

Not sure of your exact question. You can get 3rd party software to do this, Touchcopy from Wide Angle Software is one. It works on both Windows and Mac platforms. It has to work from the phone, not your backup file. It will save SMS, Music, voicemail, and several other things. Worth the price if this is important to you. You would have to look elsewhere for something that works with the backup file. It is a SQLite file format if that helps.
