So I have been having major difficulty tethering my Macbook Pro 15" with my iPhone 6 on iOS8. A friend/iOS Developer told me this was a bigger problem than just me. I can't tether without hard-wiring.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Okay, so I read the page you linked to, and I know how to tether. I have done it many times before, but not recently since the iOS8 update. It says that i didn't enable my iPhone, but the issue is that I did and it still doesn't connect. My iPhone shows up in the Wifi Menu under Personal Hotspot. It just doesn't connect no matter how many times I try. Any suggestions beyond the simple "how to?" Thanks so much!
What says that you did not enable the iPhone? If you enable Personal Hotspot, you should then see the switch on and then your Wi-Fi password. Then check the Wi-Fi connection on the computer and select the iPhone. I'm not sure where you are seeing the error message and I'm guessing you are not seeing the phone listed in the Wi-Fi area of the Mac. Can you see any other Wi-Fi networks on the Mac? Have you checked to make sure that your Wi-Fi is working on the Mac?
Sorry, there is an error message that pops up saying that I didn't enable the iPhone, but I did. I DO see the iPhone in the Wifi Menu and selected it many times to no avail. No worries! There is clearly a problem and it isn't "user error." Thanks for trying though. No need to keep trying to help.
The error message popping up on the iPhone or the Mac? What other troubleshooting have you done on the phone? I haven't seen this as a "bigger problem than just you" as you described it. There are very few posts about tethering issues. I never said there was a user error, I just asked to see what and where you were seeing these errors. You said it will work with USB, correct? You did not say if you have been able to connect to other networks on the Mac. It sounds like it may require some troubleshooting of the wireless connection on the Mac side of things. However, it seems you want to let it die here, so I hope you are able to figure it out.
