How do I email iwork spreadsheet to friend for their opinion??

I am designing a spreadsheet for a friend's business, he doesn't have a computer beyond his little hand held device. I am using my iWork 09 and I tried to share my ssheet but it said that I had to update my Safari... it is 5.1.10... will updating that to a newer version wreak havoc with my current computer? Thanks.
