apple id verification international

I am currently traveling overseas, and do not have SMS text activated since I was using iMessage and FaceTime when on wifi. Long story short, I accidentally switched my iMessage and FaceTime accounts to an old Apple ID. After switching it back to the correct one, iMessage and FaceTime can no longer verify my account. I think this process would normally involve them sending a confirmation SMS message, but I cannot receive it. Is there any way to verify these to reactivate iMessage and FaceTime use so that I can use them with my mobile number while I am still abroad, or do I have to wait until I can receive SMS messages?
