Q: "Other" Extra Comment on iPhone.

I regularly sync my iPhone to my laptop (5c to MacBook Pro) to download music or photos from one device to another. Lately I have noticed that on iTunes there is quite some storage space taken up by a portion titled "other" on the bar where storage availability is displayed. Is there any possible way I could view this "other" material in order to get rid of some?
