Q: my japanese macbook pro (late 2011) physical keyboard does not match with the on screen japanese keyboard in windows 8.1 so does caps lock

Windows has Microsoft IME layout for Japanese which is the only option (as far as I could find) available.

In fact after installing japanese language pack my display language changed to japanese which took me about an hour to change back to english. That was a learning too . In fact I studied all your articles and what I could get from them is that till windows 7 pressing "shift + caps lock" changes this input method but in windows 8.1 only pressing caps lock changes it. I want my caps lock back to its default functioning which is turning caps lock on.

Yes buddy pressing shift+caps switches on caps lock and I want it in its legacy way i.e. switching on caps lock by just pressing caps lock like in US keyboard.

With external keyboard everything works perfectly fine. Problem lies with built in keyboard. I am attaching my macbook pro image for better comprehension

when I press Control key it turn on Caps lock on "on screen keyboard" but actually caps lock remains off and control key performs its own function. Check attached image where i pressed control key and it highlights Caps key but caps does not function until I turn caps lock on using shift+caps lock.
