iPhone 6 loses signal when switching from 3G to 4G

Hi,

I have an iPhone 6 (64GB) from almost a month and recently (1 week) I have noticed that when I hang up from a call and the network is switching automaically from 3G (as it was during the call) to 4G, the phone loses signal for about 10 seconds, it is displayed "No Service" and then carrier and 4G is displayed.

Also this happens everytime when the network switches from 3G to 4G due to the 4G cover as I move to different places.

I keep 4G enable all the time.

If I disable 4G non of this is happening.

I live in Bucharest, Romania

Carrier is Vodafone.

Can you please tell me if this is an ios issue or the phone is damaged and must be replaced.

Thanks!

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.3

Hi,

I have the exact same issue on my iPhone 6 Plus. I'll be roaming freely on 4G and then all of a sudden my phone loses signal. Really strange and can't be explained. Booked my phone in for diagnostics so hopefully I'll have an answer. Glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue and this is my second iPhone 6 Plus and I never had this issue before.

Hello Judy,

Thanks for your promt answer.

I have followed all steps that you mentioned in your replay except restoring and the issue persists.

Also on a local forum I have encountered some users faceing the same problem on their iphone 6 and 5s runing on ios 8.1.3 haveing different carriers

"No Service" is displayed for about 10 sec. everytime the phone must switch automatically from 3G to 4G(LTE) and then 4G is diplayed

Is this signal problem normal to occure when the network switches from 3G to 4G?

Vodafone Romania dose not offers VoLte if this is any help info for you.

Maybe some other users here were faceing the same issue.

Do you think it's a good ideea to change the phone?

Thank you for your support?

Hello!

I have the same issues as above, same carrier Vodafone Romania, iPhone 6 bought from Vodafone Romania, iOS 8.1.3.

If i switch OFF 4G, the signal is present at all the time, no dropouts... but with 4G ON, losses signal constantly, especially after making a calls. Even when iddle, drops occur. I tryed everything... from restore with iTunes, reset network settings, hardware reset etc etc... no FIX.

I believe it is a hardware issue on the first released items.

Any more suggestions!?

I manage to solve the issue on my phone and a few of my friends also. U gotta do this:

Go in to Cellular Data Network and manually enter the settings for internet, APN: live.vodafone.com Username: live Password: vodafone and then restart your phone. You should be good to go. In case this doesn't fix your problem (though it should), give Vodafone a call and ask them to reset your internet connection from their servers.

100% will work!

Bafta!
