That would be resetting NVRAM or PRAM. When the three beeps indicates is that your RAM is damaged or corrupted:

So not reset but reseated. The bottom has to come off and the RAM taken out and inspected as well as the sockets and reseated.
More Beeps? One at a time and change sockets.
More Beeps? Put in known good.
More Beeps? Bad sockets or bad logic board.
