search function in mac mail not working
I have a mac book pro using Yosemite. My email is mac/me mail. My search function for mail isn't working. I type in the email that I want to search for and it is not sorting out those emails.

I tried rebuilding my Spotlight index but my mail client still can't find emails when I search by email address. I dragged my entire OSX drive into the private tab in Spotlight settings, highlighted it, removed it, closed spotlight settings, restarted my computer, re-opened mail program, searched and still having the same problem. How do I know that Spotlight indeed rebuilt my index?

I rebuilt my mailbox by going to mail > inbox > from the top menu > mailbox > rebuild
