Triggering launch daemon at login

Using network drives, we have to folder redirect a few things like the Adobe Reader preferences that don't like network drives and web caches which are a waste of network drives.

So we set up a Scratch partition and allocate a local folder for each user when they login.

Unfortunately the ownership sometimes gets mucked up and a launch agent running as the user can't do the chown.

Would a launch daemon doing a watchpath of /dev/console do the trick or would that get triggered too often? not on login?

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
