LOTR extended iTunes extras

I purchased the Lord of the Rings extended edition HD trilogy that is supposed to include all of the itunes extras for each movie but I cannot stream the extras content as the icon for the extras don't appear like they do for other movies. This is on my iPad but the Apple website indicates that they have updated bonus contents so that they can be played on the latest iOS devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

It sounds like you are unable to find the iTunes extras for one of the Lord of the Rings movies you have purchased. If you still haven't been able to, I would recommend reporting a problem to the iTunes Store support directly. This article will help you do that:


Report a problem with an item purchased from the iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store

To report a problem or request assistance with an item purchased from the iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store:


  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com in your browser.
  2. When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password used to initiate the purchase of the item, then click Sign In.
  3. Find the item you're having a problem with, then click Report a Problem next to it.
  4. From the Choose Problem menu, choose the issue you're having.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions. You might be asked to describe the problem in a text field.
  6. Click Submit, and we'll review your problem.
