iTunes on win 8.1 problem

I've seen people complain about iTunes on windows 8.1 but could not find my problem. Every time I enter iTunes and click on settings iTunes just freezes and says not responding. I tried everything but every time the same.

ASUS laptop-OTHER, Windows 8, Win 8.1 64 bit, 8 GB, i7, GTX 970M

I understand that iTunes is not working as expected on your Windows computer and is becoming unresponsive. In this situation, I would recommend reading over and working through the troubleshooting steps within the attached article.
