So i was doing some research on my Mac and i clicked on a link. IT then stated i got a virus. I don't know what to do. I was told that Macs normally have a virus protection built into their system. Is this true? Is there something i can do? I am afraid that computer may go to the "sh*tter" now. Any advice?

It is nothing more than an irritating pop-up. If required, force quit Safari, then restart Safari while holding the Shift key.
