Syncing Music to iPhone 6- Actually an iTunes Issue?

I've experienced issues with syncing my music (I'm syncing around 80 gigabytes of a 100+ gig library) on my iPhone 6 (Gold 128 gig) since I got it in September. I've been stuck in Waiting For Changes to Be Applied, Finishing Sync, had my music corrupt itself and appear as Other on my phone (unplayable or seeable in Music), had the artwork delete and then music delete itself, you name it, I've experienced it. I've tried doing it manually, nothing seems to permanently fix the issue.

Finally, after so many issues, I got Apple to replace my phone (which I bought through Verizon day it was released and Apple claimed it contained 3rd party display components, another story for another day), and after almost syncing all of my music too it, have begun having the same issues. This leads me to believe that there is an issue with either iTunes or my MacBook Pro (mid-2012, 700 gig), so I'd like to explore if this is an iTunes issue.

At some point, one of the Geniuses said something about deleting some iTunes file and recreating it, which I was skeptical about but at this point I need to try anything. Can anyone shed some light on this?

iTunes 12.1 is very unstable, as is iOS 8. There are just bugs with music management and syncing, simple as that. I have run into a number of issues, especially since 12.1. Music doesn't sync over at all, the device's library gets corrupted, album art disappears, etc.

A quick glance around these forums shows that a large number of people are having the same problems. iTunes and iOS are just extremely buggy, and our only recourse is to wait for software fixes.

You're not the only one, I've been having troubles syncing for months now, every once in while 'Other' shows up as about 17gb, leaving no space to sync, removing artwork, doubling up on play count etc etc. the only get-around is to backup phone and restore install software which takes about 3 hours and it seems that I need to do this once a week at moment. So frustrating, iTunes was never this buggy, just hoping that there's going to be a software update soon!
