Q: syncing devices with one apple id

I own two mac and iPhones and other apple products.  What is the best way to sync them all.

One Apple Id (keeps disconnecting all the time)

or setting up two apple ID's

Just find this very frustrating that APPLE has not figured out by now that lots of people own more then one device and may want to sync them.

OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

    Hello jpg178,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you have multiple Apple products and would like to sync your data across all of them. You mentioned using iCloud; I would suggest this services as well. There are a couple of great articles I would suggest reading over to understand what services your Apple ID uses and how to use iCloud and your Apple ID to see your content across all of your Apple products.

    Have a great day,

Use the same Apple ID for all devices, that's how it works, 2 different accounts (ID) will not synchronize.

Thanks I have read these articiles and they don't help what I want to do.  I think it you just want information shared with you and your devices only, this may work but when you have different users at the different devices this is a nightmare.

I have tried setting up the family sharing and it does not work very well.

    Thanks

this may work great until you own two iPhones in the same family and want to share certain info and apps.  But after that I'm finding it a nightmare and not sure why one phone rings on my iPad but not my computer.... and why apple apps will share with one computer and not my iPhone or iPad.  Guess the best thing is shut it all off and syc nothing except through an email... or just trash the whole bunch and go back to windows LOL:).  Just started having all these issues once I upgraded to the latest ox 10.10.2 system.  Thanks for your comments

You have one iCloud account, all devices attached to that account have access to all the data in the account, that is how it works.. One person-One account-Many devices.
