can you change the batteries in the older iMac remote control

I have the small white remote that came with my iMac in about 2003. Is their any information, like how to change the battery and/or how to pair it with newer iMac etc?

(see comments in above article for suggestion on re-pairing the unit to iMac)

This article goes on to tell about the indentation or place on the remote

that you can press with an adequately shaped object, to open battery

compartment. Some difficulty may be due to stickiness of the door.

Hopefully this may help somewhat. The old battery number, if still in the unit,

may be used to locate a replacement cell of similar power & shape.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
