word 2011 can only save local, not across network

I am using Microsoft word 2011.

i have 3 macbook pros.

one of them can save local, but not across network.

my other two mbp's offer choice to save to my network, and save to network location correctly.

Help please

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

i had to reinstll mavericks on the one machine. now all good.
