Mail app sync?

Ever since my Yahoo mail stopped appearing in the mail app (which was an issue that only happened with iOS 8.1.3, not 4.2), mail seems to show up much slower than normal. I can access my email from my computer, my 2nd gen iPod Touch, the Yahoo Mail app, and Safari, but it only seems to have issues with iOS 8.1.3's mail app... why is that, and how do I fix it?

Delete the Yahoo account from Settings>Mail and reset upthe account

I tried that solution, but it seems to be back to normal now anyhow. I guess there was something wrong with my account on yahoo's awful servers (which was discussed in many other posts in the past!) Thanks for your help!
