airplay support?

How do I use airplay to share content from my iPod Touch to my TV? do I need an Apple TV to use it, or does it support other devices (like the PS3, or any Blu-Ray player)?

iPod touch, iOS 8.1.3, 5th Gen Slate Blue 64 GB model

You nee an Apple TV or other AirPlay receiver. You can use a computer with this app. There may be other apps:

Reflector - AirPlay mirror your iPhone or iPad to any Mac or PC, wirelessly.

I know of no BluRay players that are an AirPlay receiver. An PS3 is not a receiver.

A PS3 is able to see any DLNA compatible device (Win 8 PC, Android, and Mac [with PS3 media center running]), and it can also be seen on a BluRay player (at least the two my parents own). I suppose that's just something I'd have to work around... Thanks!
