I have to say before you begin troubleshooting, that this will take some time to get it worked out. Take a look at the article below and start with the Isolate hardware or software as the cause of the issue section to see if you can get to the bottom of it.

Feb 23, 2015 12:38 PM in response to norm123by Dean_0h,Thank you for the reply, norm123. Unfortunately it has been rebooting while booting up, and had never given that sort of a message before. I don't seem to be able to start it in safe mode either.
