Deleting "recent contacts" from gmail

My Gmail "recent contacts" show up when my daughter uses her Gmail on her iPod! She is using her email account, my Gmail account isn't even on her iPod, none of my contacts are in her actual "contacts" folder, yet every time she starts typing an email address, the first letter typed brings up all of my "recent contacts" starting with that letter. I really don't want her to be able to see and access all of my recent contacts. How did this happen? And how do I delete this option?
