How do I erase my iPod without any iCloud login details?

I just bought a new iPod touch as my other one is well out of date.

I went to update it on the computer and after it did that, it restored back to when I first got my old one. Now, my old iCloud account is now attached to this new iPod. I have no idea what the password is and I can't attach my current iCloud account. I can't even erase my iPod using the option on the iPod itself, without knowing the password to iCloud.

HELP! I want to start all over again so I can attach my current iCloud account to my new iPod!!!!

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.5
