May 30, 2016 1:38 PM in response to lizzy5by CliffStoll,Here's how to enable REPRINT JOB
(I'm posting it here so that the next time this stops working, I'll find it...)
1) Open your web browser to localhost:631
2) Now click on the menu "JOBS" up at the top
if you get the message "Web Interface not available" or something like that, then
2a) Open the Terminal Window
2b) Enter the command
sudo cupsctl WebInterface=yes
(you will have to then enter your password)
2c) You should now be able to go to the browser, and click on the Jobs menu
3) In the Jobs browser page, click on "Show All Jobs"
You should see many print jobs that are now on paper.
At the far right of each line, under the "Control" column, you may, perhaps, see a wonderful button <Reprint Job>
Of course, that's the magic button to click. (You wouldn't be here if you saw this...)
4) To enable the Reprint Job buttons, do this:
4a) Open the Terminal Window
4b) Enter the command
sudo cupsctl PreserveJobFiles=Yes
(you will be prompted for your password)
4c) print another job.
4d) That job (and all future jobs) should have the <Reprint Job> button enabled in the Control Column
5) There's a way to limit the number of jobs that your Mac will save; I think the default is 500 ... to set the maximum number of print jobs to 100, try this:
sudo cupsctl MaxJobs=100
Best wishes to all,
-Cliff
