Looking in /var/log/system.log I found this.

Feb 19, 2015 12:10 PM in response to OGELTHORPEby greyfox55,I reset the SMC and NVRAM.
Then I tried rebooting holding down the D key to get into Apple Hardware Test.
The screen came up saying Starting Internet Recovery. It asked for my WiFi Network. I chose my network and entered the password. Then it acted like it was trying to start then I got the same error screen.

Feb 19, 2015 12:17 PM in response to greyfox55by tedweiser55,I will be posting a thread shortly, because I'm having a very similar issue.
Mine always freezes while I'm scrolling in a window, usually in Safari - is yours the same way?

Feb 19, 2015 12:23 PM in response to tedweiser55by greyfox55,The most recent incident happened while I was in Google Docs on Google Chrome. The previous two times it happened I was working in Intellij 14.
The next time it happens I will likely have to take it to the Apple Store to have them run a diagnostics test on it. It is still under Apple Care so if its a hardware failure I should be able to get it replaced at no cost. If its a software issue I guess I'll have to either reformat or wait for the next OS X patch. The issues for me has been worse since the 10.10.2 update but that may just be coincidence.
I would like to know what those codes indicate. For you do you have the same error code in the logs / console. Previous shutdown cause: -128?

Feb 19, 2015 12:29 PM in response to greyfox55by tedweiser55,Yes, my shutdown reason is also -128.
I've seen a few threads that reference that as related to heat, but I've monitored the system temperature before and nothing out of normal operating temperatures.

Feb 19, 2015 12:34 PM in response to tedweiser55by greyfox55,Interesting.....every time mine has shutdown the CPU load should have been minimal as I was not doing anything CPU intensive.

Feb 19, 2015 1:02 PM in response to greyfox55by my ginger,Hi. Just for you . The 128 error is User/canceled err. Which apple says is user canceled an operation. I believe this is the error code because your MBP shut down.

Feb 19, 2015 2:15 PM in response to my gingerby greyfox55,Interesting.... I looked through the logs again and I don't see anything else that would really indicate a problem. I also see -128 other places today where it do not force shutdown.
I have an application monitoring my temperatures to double check that. At the moment my CPU average is 40C and my fans are averaging 2080 RPMs.
I'll continue to monitor and update this thread if I discover anything.
