We have a few i pods in our family but recently we are only able to download music onto one of them,(our daughters), when we try one of the other ipods by dragging the song we want from the list over to the right into the "ipod" it wont light up blue.please help its driving us mad

It sounds to me like you are trying to manually manage the music on your devices by dragging them in iTunes, but only one device allows this method to work. It sounds as though the option for manually managing music and videos may not be selected for the devices that aren't syncing as you would expect.
