Stolen ipad

I had an iPad stolen last week. I immediately locked the device and requested an erase when reconnected using Find My IPhone. Since then the device remains offline on Find My Phone. The theft has been reported to the authorities.

What is troubling is that I have since received two text messages inviting me to recover my device. Both text messages reference websites to which I am directed with a request to complete a sign in process. I have no way of determining the authenticity of these websites but they don't look legitimate to me (poor grammar and clumsy design). The website URLs are:

1) http://bit.ly/1zqUYvv

2) http://icioud.co/

How do I ascertain the authenticity of these websites? If they are fraudulent, where can I report them so that other users can be warned.

Just by looking at the URLs, my belief is that the sites are not legit and I wouldn't go there. As far as reporting them, I have no clue. There might be a way if you knew the ISP that they use but getting that info is difficult, if not impossible.

My WAG is that your iPad was not locked with a passcode, which means that the thief can have a ball with it provided that he's careful not to connect to the Internet. He/she is apparently technically qualified and browsed the info on the iPad to determine how to send you text messages. Obviously, he/she would have to use a different device to send those messages.
