Feb 21, 2015 8:14 AM in response to Nestor Holynskyjby joe_7399,Greetings Nestor Holynskyj,
I understand that the Find My Friends notifications are not working the way you would expect. In this situation, I would first recommend reading over the attached article to verify Find My Friends is set up correctly. You mentioned that you have already worked through the settings, so if everything mentioned in the article is already correct on your devices, please let me know.

Feb 21, 2015 8:34 AM in response to joe_7399by Nestor Holynskyj,Joe:
Thanks for the reply but please understand that the article doesn't address my question at all (nor does it really provide any details on settings, etc.) For the record, here is what I've set up:- I am properly logged in with my iCloud and I am able to the current location of the friend that I am following. This gets updated every 30 seconds or so. So that part works.
- In the iPhone settings area under "Find Friends" have selected "Allow Notifications", 5 notifications in "Notification Center" and "Sounds", "Badge App Icon", and "Show on Lock Screen" are all enabled.
- In "Find Friends", once I see the map with the friend's location, I click on the "Notify Me" button which then asks if I want to notified when the friend leaves or arrives at a given location. That in turn takes me back to the map screen where I see the "Notify Me" button. Doesn't matter what option I choose (i.e., where leaves or arrive)--nothing happens.
- Therein lies the problem.
Am I supposed to have the Find Friends open all the time or is the notification also supposed to work in the background. I have tried both approaches and neither yields any kind of notification.
Hope this helps.

May 10, 2015 2:39 PM in response to Nestor Holynskyjby JimHKuo,I have an identical issue and have tried everything but nothing worked...
Things I tried:
1. Toggle bluetooth, WIFI on/off
2. Remove and readd friends
3. Login/out iCloud account
I am able to track my friends and my friends can see my location. Find my friends notification is enabled in notification center, however, the notification remains inactive.

May 12, 2015 2:57 PM in response to JimHKuoby Nestor Holynskyj,I had just upgraded this morning and had high hopes when I saw your message later in the day. Sadly, I still have the same problem. I saw my friend change location but no notification ever came up. I had contacted Apple and spoke with a few folks but they couldn't figure it out. More to the point, none of them were even very familiar with the app or its functionality, so it was a learning experience all around. Eventually they seem to have lost interest because I never got the promised call back from them....

May 28, 2015 8:31 PM in response to Nestor Holynskyjby kerryandjohn,Nestor,
Was there any resolution found for this issue? I have been trying to find the proper solution for the 'Notify Me' functionality within Find My Friends and there does not seem to be any definitive solution.
Thank you.

Jan 4, 2016 8:40 AM in response to Nestor Holynskyjby Nirvana98109,Notifications are not working in Find My Friends for me either. They used to work. I REALLY wish Apple would come out with a ios point release that focuses on bugs. There are SO many bugs these days.

Jan 14, 2016 9:19 AM in response to Nirvana98109by D.A.Fox,Wow, over a year and no solid answer to this problem. I guess just to chime in, iPhone 6+ iOS 9.2. Have never in the time I've been using Find Friends ever gotten a notification. Not once, which is sad because outside that it seems to be a really good program.
