I Pre ordered a book and received an email that the book was available. When I downloaded the book, it was another book by the same author which I already have. What can I do?

Try delete the book via the Select button at theta right of the bookshelf and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the app.
If the wrong book redownloads then use the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
