Feb 21, 2015 6:10 AM in response to vazandrewby Davis2718,Occurs all the time for the last 10 days or so.
Speedtest confirmed via wired and wireless
DNS is on auto.
Reset did not solve problem.
Netflix on AppleTV works fine, as does Hulu.
More recently purchased AppleTV itunes movies will play
Older movies will not play within 10-300 hours of me asking for them.
AppleTV support was near useless and refused to admit the problem was with Apple network. Told me to come here.

Did you connect Apple TV via Ethernet?
Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a network report. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks
Test on another network

Feb 21, 2015 8:27 AM in response to Davis2718by vazandrew,I know, but you didn't give the connection that speedtest reported
What were the results from the network report?
Test on another network (ideally a controlled one like Apple's) to see if it persists
Note: Netflix, Hulu, and similar will adapt to the connection so it's not an apt comparison.

Feb 21, 2015 10:12 AM in response to Parpindogby n6021n,Same story here. Did all network troubleshooting and absolutely not my connection. Getting solid 22gb down and everything but apple works. Hbo go immediate hd streaming but itunes "Ready to play in 6hours 26 minutes". The joke is Apple wants me to pay them $29 for a support call to tell them their download servers are jacked. Better get fixed soon or off to Fire TV I go.

Feb 21, 2015 10:38 AM in response to n6021nby vazandrew,HBO Go uses adaptive streaming
What troubleshooting did you do? What were the results of the network report? Did you test elsewhere? Other devices working doesn't rule this out.
