If you mean that your PC computer is saying "Device Unknown" when you plug it in, try the iTunes Diagnostic Tool for Windows.
iTunes for Windows: Gathering and using iTunes Diagnostics - Apple Support

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes
