iOS Update for iPhone 5S (A1533) to work LTE Cat.4 (AWS) Movistar, Venezuela
Hello!
Yesterday in Venezuela, Movistar (service provider), launched LTE in Cat.4 (AWS).
I have an iPhone 5S (A1533), my SIM Card was changed to a new one (USIM), I have the correct service activated and I am in the coverage area for LTE, all this in order to have LTE on my iPhone (service provider´s press note for LTE upgrade).
However, it failed to do that. I have only 3G.
Other Phone brands (samsung, alcatel, etc,) with LTE Cat4 works fine.
I checked for new network parameters or any iPhone upgrade, but I am to date.
Now, this is working only for those users who has a iPhone 6 but 5S doesn´t work yet.
My service provider told me (by phone call) It should be working, but in Movistar Webpage have a note saying: "for iPhones, only for iPhone 6" (like actually works).
I don´t know if I have a compatible iPhone why It is not working with LTE and only works for iPhone 6.
Apple is preparing an upgrade for Venezuela users? or Service Provider (movistar) decided to not include iPhone 5/5S in its LTE network?
Do I need to do something else?
