A few days ago my computer was working fine, I went to bed without computer on charger. Woke up and got on it, it then said the battery was low around %5 and I went to charge it. My charger didnt light up when connected and the computer said that it was connected but battery not charging. The fan was extremely loud. In soon went to 0%, which means in order for it to turn on at all it must be connected to the charger (still not lighting up.)
The battery cycle count is 396, fans running high, when booted all activities on screen lag and apps bounce in the dock for awhile before and if opening, and a few days before this all happened I had updated to the newest software Yosemite from the app store; these are the things my schools IT guy said were important to tell the Genius Bar when I got an appointment. I've reset the SMC, three times or so. Nothing was solved though.
I'm just trying to search for an solution that doesn't have me paying hundred of euros to Apple. Since I live in Paris for university, its even worse than handing your local Apple Genius Bar hundreds of dollars.
Any ideas, solutions?
