I would check to see if you can boot to Internet Recovery. To do that hold down Command + R and it should ask you to connect to a Wi-Fi network and go through the steps of installing your version of OS X. Take a look at the articles below to see if your Mac has that option and more information on how to boot to it.

Feb 21, 2015 2:24 PM in response to billy52bby Grant Bennet-Alder,The traditional way to get a Mac to spit out a CD/DVD is to hold down the mouse button at Startup. Mac OS X is not required, the boot-up software does it.
