Q: Can iCloud be used on my iPad like Dropbox or Onedrive?

can I drag files to the iCloud folder on my Mac and access them somehow on my iPad in a similar way that can be done with Dropbox or Onedrive?

    Howdy southwestform,

     

    Using iCloud for transferring files from a Mac to an iOS device such as your iPad is dependent on the application your are using on the iPad. Apple applications such as Pages and Numbers, for instance, can use iCloud Drive. Some apps made by third parties also support the use of iCloud Drive. To find out if the applications you want to use support it, contact the maker of that application.
