Q: PLEASE HELP ME X OVER BATTERY!

Hi guys, so I have this problem that there's a X showing on my battery. I did a bit of research and they were telling me to press the shift, ctrl alt + power button at the same time.  (My mac won't stay on without my adapter)  After I had done that, my mac started hyperventilating crazy! But it would stay on without the adapter now. I had to put the adapter back in and it wasn't hyperventilating anymore.

So what can I do to show the battery?
