Question

ipod in recovery and wont restore

My ipod is stuck in recovery mode and when I try to restore I get an message saying ipod cannot be restored an error occurred (1).

please help ive tried everything

ERROR (1)

- Place the iPod in DFU mode and then restore

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- Try on another computer

- Try another cable

- Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hi I've tried the DFU mode but still get the same error message. ive tried looking at the security settings but not 100% sure on what im doing.

ivejust got same thing wanted to restore started ok whilst connected to itunes via pc and now just got the itunes motif on the ipod and it wont do anything after saying error half way through restore

Yep that's exactly what happened to mine. now cant do nothing with it. from what ive read online I don't think you can fix it either!
