The resource below will explain all of the various settings for Notifications. Have you removed the iTunes Store app from your Notifications? If the iTunes Store app is open, quit the app and restart the iPhone for the changes to take effect.
About Notifications on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201925To see which apps provide notifications and change notification settings, go to Settings > Notifications, and tap the app name.
Turn off and change Notifications settings
If you have an app that could potentially send frequent notifications, your iOS device could wake frequently to display the notification, and affect battery life. You can disable Show on Lock screen for a particular app in Settings > Notifications, then choose the app and drag to the Do Not Include section.
You can also customize what you see in your Today view. Go to Settings > Notifications, and select which apps you would like to include. You can sort your notifications manually or by time. To sort manually, tap Edit in the upper right corner, select the apps you want, and drag them using the
icon. You can drag the apps to the Include or Do Not Include list, and put the apps in your desired order.Regards,

Feb 22, 2015 11:38 AM in response to judysingsby greybon,I've already tried the restarting thing. Didn't work. In my settings for notifications on my ipad, every single app is turned off for notifications. Yet, the notifications for the store keep coming and stopping anything I'm in the middle of watching just to alert me to them. It's incredibly annoying. I even tried restoring the ipad to factory settings, then turning all the notifications for every app by hand again. Didn't work.
