Q: How to restore an ipod, get error 1429

My ipod says, 'Use iTunes to restore'. ITunes says 'ipod in recovery mode, must restore before it can be used with iTunes'.

When I try to restore it says 'could not be restored error 1429'

I have gone through steps that should correct it shown in site for 'error 1429', but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem?

iPod classic, iOS 8.1.2

I understand you tried all 11 steps described in this article with no success:
iPod: Can't restore or update in iTunes with error 1415, 1417, 1418, 1428, 1429, 1430, 1436, or 1439 - Apple Support
Is this correct?

I wasn't able to try all of them as not sure what I was doing. I found a friend who took the ipod and was able to restore it and now it is working fine. Hope it lasts.
