Sound loudness different
It is not a question for a running project, but in general.
Different clips from different movies are different loud in the source, and in the resulting DVD. Is there a method to make them equal loud?

Yes. Adjust the audio levels on each so that they peak at the same level. Say you want them all to peak at -12db, then adjust the levels up or down until they peak at that point.
