I had an old WiFi Router DSL connection that died. It has been replaced.
However the old network still shows up under the WiFi icon.
If I go to: Settings/Network Name I can select the network but cannot uncheck the 'remeber this network' bow without logging in.
As the network is no longer there I cannot log in.
How do I clear out old settings that do not exist?
iMac (24-inch Mid 2007), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

The old router shows up under 'Network Name' but I cannot select it!
So it does NOT show up under the advanced tab.
Is there the equivalent of a registry entry that could be cleared?
Click advanced, under menu "wi-fi", delete the "primary networks" you wish not to use anymore. (ie: select the network, then hit the - button below. Click OK.
You know what: Rename your new router to the same ssid and password as the old router. Then when it becomes active, delete it.

There must be an easier way to clear out old settings rather than go through the hassle of doing what you suggest!

Harddrive -> Library -> Preferences -> SystemConfiguration -> com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
