iPod 5th Generation does not want to turn on

It was working fine the day before; plugged it in to charge like normal. Yet this morning when it was completely off; I thought it was probably my charger so I borrowed my moms; and the iPod kept turning on and off as in the apple logo kept popping off and on.. The problem is that its off so when I pressed the home and power button at the same time the apple logo popped up, but it lasted for a minute or so and then it completely turned off again.

Could there be a problem with my iPod and I need to go get it fix? or is there a solution I can do to fix it?

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
