I can't update to Yosemite.

I can't update to Yosemite. I keep getting the error that my HD seems is used by time machine. I use time machine on my external harddrive. I'm running on 10.8.5 at the moment.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
