I bought my daughter an iPhone and she has been using it for several months but recently changed her iPhone unlock password and can't remember what she changed it to. she's been trying to get on her iPhone for days and just tonight informed me of then problem. although i know her apple id, password, security questions, etc. i can not for the life of me get this phone to work. it is an iPhone 5s

Do you have a backup of before the password change that you can restore back to your iPhone?
That won't help. The Lock Code is not stored in the backup data. The only option here is for the OP to select the method that best applies to their situation from the link provided.
