Hi,
I have IPad 4 th Gen model A1458. When I try to use the Lightning AV adapter model A1348 , it never detects that and coUtd not mirror my iPad to my to via HDMI cable.
aaccording to the apple support details, table given that this both versions should be compatible. My AV adapter is also a genuine Apple product.
appreciate any help to troubleshoot and fix to this problem

I think your going to have to go to the apple store to get this sorted out.
Did it work before? Does it work with a different TV/projector? Did it work with ios 7.x? Are there other A/V input ports on tv projector? Try all others. Check settings on tv.
Anyway, with the introduction of ios 8.x, apple stopped supporting older a/v cables. You need to get the latest a/v cable with the correct firmware. There is a little chip in the a/v cable. Even some older Apple av cables do not work with 8.x ( so I have read ). go to the apple store.

I read that if you say the correct things in an apple store they will give you a new cable.
