CONEXANT USB AUDIO

I updated my iMac to the latest Yosimite 10.10.2 last night and when i attached my Logitech H540 usb headset, it now comes up as CONEXANT USB AUDIO. Previous to the OS X update the head set came up as Logitech USB. It still works but can someone explain the change in name?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

logitech likely use a conexant usb audio card chip and when you rely on the generic build in driver it show up as the maker of the usb audio card chip

rather then as the logitech name you can likely go to logitech's site and get a driver from them which would name their product rather then the chip they use
