Feb 22, 2015 5:10 AM in response to Rickyleroyby Matt Clifton,Apple Mail in Yosemite has MailDrop which allows you to send files up to 5GB. Most recipients will receive a link to download the file. Mac users with Yosemite will get th file directly in their message.

Having said that, it is very unusual to email a 700MB file. There are usually much better ways. What kind of file is this? Video files can be sent via YouTube or Vimeo, etc, for example. You could also use Dropbox which again just emails a link (recipient does not have to have Dropbox account) or WeTransfer.
