It sounds like your iTunes Library / files weren't moved to the right location or consolidated. The article below explains how to do this.

In the end iTunes "unfroze" after a couple of hours and found all my music, it also hasn't asked me my password again, so I'm back to where I was 2 weeks ago, being able to access all my music!
