In Numbers for iOS 8 when I double tap a cell the Input Bar is nownot displayed as it used to be, so I get just the number keyboard and not the choice of letters and formula. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app but that hasn't helped.

Thanks for your response. However, what you have called the data type icons and the input field are, I think, called the Input Bar. and I am saying that this Input Bar is not now being displayed at all so therefore there are no data type icons there to tap and no input field.

If I double tap in a blank cell or one with numbers, I get the numerical keyboard but no input bar or buttons for the other keyboards. If I double tap on a cell with text in it I get the alphabetic keyboard but no input bar or buttons for the other keyboards. If I double tap on a cell with a formula in it I get the formula/function keyboard but no input bar or buttons for the other keyboards. All my spreadsheets are shared through icloud with my wife's iPad and I'm sitting here getting it all to work perfectly on hers, but not on mine.

We only have one icloud account, it happens to be in my wife's name, and we use it to share files from both our iPads and my imac. I have just entered some new data in one spreadsheet on my ipad and it has appeared, as expected, on the same spreadsheet on the other iPad.

No, I've got exactly the same problem as I've reported. But on my wife's iPad there isno problem.

II have had the solution to the 'missing' input bar in Numbers for iOS8 from the iWork Team: the keyboard had become undocked and this is fixed by dragging on the 4 grey dots at the bottom of the keyboard.
