Why won't my iPod sync to the latest version of iTunes for Windows? I purchased the iPod in 2009.

Hi,
got the same problem since updating iTunes in February.
After connecting to windows-Pc (Windows 7 32bit) ipod tells its synchronizing, then it is disconneting automatically before being listed in iTunes.
While trying to sync, iTunes cant reach the ipod.
All steps recommended by apple (new Installation of iTunes etc.) was helpless.
Who can help?
My iPod classic won't sync with the latest version of iTunes for Windows...
