Problem with image preview in Aperture

Hi all,

I bought Aperture a few months ago and all of a sudden when I click on an image so that I can edit it, sections of the image randomly become red (see below). If I place the same image into a book the redness goes away. But as you can image it is quite difficult to edit an image when the coloring is so off. I have tried rebooting both Aperture and my computer a number of times to no avail.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You have "show shadows and highlights" turned on. The areas in question are pure white, so they'll be shown as "blown out." You can disable that setting within Aperture.
